Redesign of a 3300sq’ home over 4 levels, including finished basement. What started as a main floor renovation, quickly expanded into a three-level renovation, which included the re-design of the lower level, principal bedroom, exterior design, landscape design coordination, complete re-design of the backyard and the addition of a new roof deck.

The obvious challenges came in 2020, as with everything else. Construction progress slowed down due to the pandemic and lead times for materials and furniture were lengthy. Luckily for the homeowners, the interior was completed at that point so they were able to enjoy the interior of their home without disruption, but progress on the exterior slowed down as lead times on materials grew longer and longer.

In this villa in Toronto, Canada, the courtyard on the first floor is like a dreamland. A platform is carefully built with antiseptic wood in the courtyard. In the platform, there are pools in all directions, and the water waves are rippling, which is smart and full of vitality. In the courtyard, the stepping stones and lawns are perfectly integrated, and every step is like walking on a painting of nature and art. Wooden chairs are quietly placed in it for people to rest, and the outdoor fireplace adds a warm atmosphere to this world, making people feel warm and comfortable even on cold days. There is also a whole wall of lush green plants, which seems to be a green painting given by nature, bringing freshness and vitality to the courtyard.

Walking into the building, the overall style is simple and beautiful. The kitchen wall is paved with light gray tiles, exuding a low-key and elegant temperament. The dark gray high cabinet stands on the side, showing a calm atmosphere. In the center is a square island with a unique design. The island is equipped with a sink, which is convenient and practical. High stools surround the island, inviting people to stay here. Three small chandeliers are hung above the island, and the light shines down, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere, making the kitchen a charming space.
走进建筑内部，整体呈现出简洁而优美的风格。厨房的墙面铺着浅灰色的瓷砖，散发着低调而高雅的气质。深灰色的高柜在一旁矗立，彰显出沉稳大气。正中央是方形岛台，其设计独具匠心，岛台上设有水槽，方便实用。高脚凳环绕在岛台周围，邀请人们在此停留。岛台上方悬挂着三盏小吊灯，灯光洒下，营造出温馨又惬意的氛围，让厨房成为一个充满魅力的空间。
