灵枢·肠胃 Miraculous Pivot · The Stomach and Intestines
黄帝问于伯高曰：余愿闻六腑传谷者，肠胃之大小长短，受谷之多少，奈何？The Yellow Emperor asked Bo Gao, "I would like to hear about how the six fu-organs transmit grains, specifically regarding the size, length, and the amount of grains that the stomach and intestines can receive. How are these things?"
黄帝问伯高道：我想要了解六腑如何输送谷物以及肠、胃的大小长短，能够容纳多少谷物，这些情况到底是怎么样呢？
伯高曰：请尽言之，谷所从出入浅深远近长短之度：唇至齿长九分，口广二寸半。Bo Gao said, "Let me explain it thoroughly. The degrees of the shallowness, depth, distance, and length of the passage through which grains enter and exit: The length from the lips to the teeth is nine fen, and the width of the mouth is two and a half cun.
伯高说：请让我详细地解说。谷物在人体中从入口到排出体外所经历的深浅、远近、长短过程是：从嘴唇到牙齿的长度是九分，嘴宽是二寸半。
齿以后至会厌，深三寸半，大容五合。舌重十两，长七寸，广二寸半。咽门重十两，广一寸半，至胃长一尺六寸。From the teeth to the epiglottis, the depth is three and a half cun, and it can hold five ge in volume. The tongue weighs ten liang, is seven cun long, and two and a half cun wide. The pharynx weighs ten liang, is one and a half cun wide, and the distance from it to the stomach is one chi and six cun.
从牙齿后到喉咙上的会厌，三寸半深，这部分大到能容纳五合食物。舌头重十两，长七寸，宽二寸半，咽门重十两，宽一寸半，从咽门至胃的长度是：—尺六寸。
胃纡曲屈，伸之，长二尺六寸，大一尺五寸，径五寸，大容三斗五升。The stomach is tortuous. When stretched out, it is two chi and six cun long, one chi and five cun wide, with a diameter of five cun, and can hold three dou and five sheng in volume.
胃折皱屈曲在一起，如果伸展开，长二尺六寸，周长一尺五寸，直径五寸，胃大到可容谷物三斗五升。
小肠后附脊，左环回周迭积，其注于回肠者，外附于脐上，回运环十六曲，大二寸半，径八分分之少半，长三丈二尺。The small intestine is attached to the spine at the back, loops to the left in a circular motion, winds around and accumulates. The part that drains into the ileum is attached to the area above the navel on the outside. It makes sixteen loops in a circular motion. It is two and a half cun wide, with a diameter of a little less than eight fen, and is three zhang and two chi long.
小肠后面附着脊柱，从左向右回环叠积，内与回肠相通相连，外附于脐上方，总共回环叠绕十六个弯曲，小肠周长二寸半，直径八又三分之一分，长三丈二尺。
回肠当脐，左环回周叶积而下，回运还反十六曲，大四寸，径一寸寸之少半，长二丈一尺。The ileum is at the position of the navel, loops to the left in a circular motion, winds around and accumulates leaves downward, and makes sixteen reverse loops in a circular motion. It is four cun wide, with a diameter of a little more than one cun, and is two zhang and one chi long.
大肠从正当脐的部位向左回环，四周迭积而下，回环反复十六个弯曲，大肠周长四寸，直径一又三分之一寸，长二丈一尺。
广肠传（别本作傅）脊，以受回肠，左环叶脊，上下辟，大八寸，径二寸寸之大半，长二尺八寸。The large intestine (also written as '傅' in some versions) is attached to the spine to receive the ileum. It loops to the left around the spine, with upper and lower openings. It is eight cun wide, with a diameter of a little more than two cun, and is two chi and eight cun long.
直肠附着脊柱，承受回肠排出的糟粕，向左回环迭积，上下略有偏斜，直肠周长八寸，直径二又三分之二寸，长二尺八寸。
肠胃所入至所出，长六丈四寸四分，回曲环反，三十二曲也。The total length from the entrance to the exit of the stomach and intestines is six zhang, four cun and four fen, with thirty-two loops and reverse loops in a circular motion."
总计食物入嘴经胃肠到排出体外为止的长度是六丈四寸五分，其中回环弯曲是三十二曲。
