《火焰山的人们》展现了吐鲁番的特色，比如火焰山、葡萄沟、黄面烤肉。影片通过四位主要人物来深入探索这些特色：玉山·阿不力孜是一家黄面烤肉餐厅的经理，这家餐厅已经是第三代，三代人都在使用同一特殊配方；茹克亚·买合木提白天在火焰山大景区工作，晚上经营自己的小店；热孜宛古丽和撒尔汗·买合木提是葡萄种植农户，种植葡萄过程中坚持使用天然的肥料；木凯代斯·阿布来提是火焰山大景区的导游，对火焰山的历史了如指掌。这部影片证明，正是这些人和他们的传统，让沙漠中的吐鲁番熠熠生辉。
“People of the Flaming Mountain” is a mosaic of the specialities of Turpan: the Flaming Mountains, the grape valley and the yellow noodles & barbecue. We explore them through the very people who are deeply involved in keeping them alive: Yushan Abulizi, the manager of the first yellow noodle restaurant that’s been using the special recipe for three generations; Rukeya Maihemuti, who works in the Flaming Mountain in the day and runs her own shop at night, Reziwanguli and Sa’erhan Maihemuti, a family of grape farmers farming without chemicals and Mukaidaisi Abulaiti, a tour guide at Flaming Mountain well-verse in its history. The film stands to prove that it is these people and their traditions that make Turpan shine in the desert.

When I came here to Xinjiang then I discovered that there's a lot of things in common between my own culture and the culture here. Like some jewelry textiles a lot of words in our languages, they're pretty much the same. That was the big discovery here.
当我来到新疆，我发现在本国的文化和这里的文化之间有很多共同之处。比如一些珠宝、纺织品、我们语言中的很多单词，它们几乎是一样的。这是我的一个重大发现。

我在这个活动当中，从第一天认识我的外方小伙伴开始到我们拍摄的过程，遇到了很多很多有趣的人和有趣的事情。拍摄过程中最让我印象深刻的事是我们当时在火焰山镇遇到了一群特别特别可爱的小孩，突然他们就到镜头面前，拿着我们的麦克风开始彼此进行采访，很可爱也非常有趣。我们也和这些小孩认识了，拍到了一些可爱的画面。
In this activity, from the day I met my foreign partner to the filming process, I met many interesting people and had many interesting experiences. The most impressive thing during the filming process was that we encountered a group of very cute children in Flame Mountain Town. They suddenly came to the camera and started interviewing each other with our microphones, which was very cute and interesting. We also got to know these children and captured some cute moments.
