Richard Wood, Managing Director Asia at Snøhetta, is invited to speak at FIND – Design Fair Asia 2024. It will start at 11am on Thursday, September 26.

Richard的演讲将围绕“场所营造”而展开，讨论Snøhetta在设计实践中的核心价值，探索场所营造在亚洲板块的关键性要素以及所面临的挑战--了解场地特征，整合功能与美学来创造与当地文化产生共鸣的空间，提升城市和农村地区的社会、经济和环境水平。
Richard's talk will evolve around the theme On Placemaking: The Strategy and Creativity of Making Places, discussing Snøhetta's core values, exploring the key elements and challenges of placemaking in Asia – understanding site characteristics, and integrating functional and aesthetic elements to create spaces that resonate with local cultures, enhancing the social, economic, and environmental aspects of both urban and rural areas.

Richard说道：“最好的场所营造可能是无形的。为生活、为人、为互动创造场所。然而，简单性中往往孕育着复杂性。新型城市环境的诞生免不了与历史、身份特性和未来进行对话，甚至是相互抗衡......为了平衡各方，我们总是需要大胆一些。”
"At its best placemaking could be invisible. The creation of places for life, for people, for interaction. Of course, it is in this simplicity, that the complexity is borne. The creation of new urban environments must contend with history, with identity and with future...… and to reconcile all of these, it must almost always be daring," says Richard.
